Reunion Giving volunteers play an invaluable role in encouraging classmates to contribute to the class’s reunion gift and help ensure the success of their reunion giving campaigns.
Why Reunions?
Reunions at Yale have historically been a time to come back—and to give back. They are a time to recognize nearly all new gifts and pledges committed during a five-year period, especially those made in the months leading up to June 30th of the reunion year. To mark a reunion year, many alumni make a stretch commitment above and beyond their ongoing support.
Yale’s fundraising volunteers play a critical role in helping alumni connect with their classmates, discover the impact of their gifts, and stay informed about Yale’s strategic planning and goals.
Reunion giving volunteers foster excitement among their classmates about contributing to the class’s reunion gift through peer-to-peer outreach that underscores the personal nature of giving. Serving on a reunion gift committee is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones throughout the reunion year, as well as on campus in the spring.

Serving on the reunion gift committee was deeply rewarding. It allowed me to make a leadership gift to the university that was personally meaningful while reconnecting with classmates united by a shared goal: making the future at Yale and beyond even brighter.
