Parent Volunteers

Parents of Yale College students play an important role in advancing the mission of the university as donors and advocates.

Parents Annual Fund Volunteers

Parents Annual Fund volunteers partner with the Parent Gifts team to inspire the annual giving of their fellow parents. Reaching out by email and phone, volunteers share their enthusiasm for Yale and invite other parents to join them in supporting the Parents Fund. Volunteers meet a few times a year in person and online, interacting with administrators and learning about Yale College’s key priorities.

Parents Leadership Council

The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) is a committee of current parents dedicated to strengthening Yale through leadership gifts to the Parents Annual Fund, as well as capital and endowed gifts to support the university’s top priorities. Members are invited to meet on campus twice a year with top faculty members and university leaders, gaining insights into the latest Yale initiatives while enjoying lectures, social activities with other families, and tours of campus facilities. Parents Leadership Council members also serve as informal Yale ambassadors, sometimes hosting events in their home communities.

Our commitment to education and to ensuring that all Yale students have access to all that Yale offers has inspired us to give back to the community through the Parents Leadership Council.
