Scholarship Extends Reach of Systemic Risk Master’s Program

A grant from the Volcker Family Foundation will enable professionals from around the world to study financial stability and the management of financial crises.

A new scholarship at the Yale School of Management, the Paul A. Volcker Scholarship, has been created in order to support students in the school’s Master’s in Systemic Risk program.

The program brings early- and mid-career employees of central banks and other financial regulatory agencies around the world to Yale for a year of intensive study of the theory and practice of systemic risk.

Paul A. Volcker was an influential economist, serving as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. The Volcker Family Foundation’s gift will help draw students from institutions with limited resources and extend the reach of the master’s program.
