Monumental Boost in Faculty Hires for Computer Science

The School of Engineering & Applied Sciences has added a new cohort of faculty members and increased course offerings for 2022–23, signaling transformational growth for Computer Science at Yale.

Nine new tenure-track faculty members and four teaching-track lecturers have recently joined Yale’s Computer Science department as part of the landmark investment in the School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) announced earlier this year. The new faculty members will greatly expand the department’s course offerings—particularly in the areas of machine learning, blockchain, and software engineering—and will increase Yale’s expertise in emerging research fields. Many of the new hires report being drawn to Yale for its interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to research.
