Yale Tomorrow Campaign Committees meet with sights set on a new goal
On November 10, 2008, more than sixty-five members of the Yale Tomorrow Campaign Committees met in New York City to discuss the progress of the Campaign and plans for the expansion of Yale College.
The members of the Campaign Committees were welcomed by President Richard C. Levin, Vice President for Development Inge T. Reichenbach, Yale College Dean Mary Miller, Provost Peter Salovey, and Campaign co-chairs G. Leonard Baker, Jr. ’64, Edward P. Bass ’67, and Roland W. Betts ’68. The afternoon program focused on the expansion of Yale College and included presentations from Reichenbach as well as Shauna King, vice president for finance and business operations, University Planner Laura Cruickshank, and Robert A.M. Stern, dean of the Yale School of Architecture and lead architect for the construction of the two new colleges. The speakers highlighted work currently under way to prepare for Yale’s largest expansion in forty years.
Following the formal presentation, committee members broke into small groups to discuss plans for the future of the Campaign. The meeting concluded with a working dinner capped by a question and answer session with President Levin.
