Reunion Gift Volunteers: How to Make a Gift
Gifts may be made via checks payable to Yale University. Mail to:
Office of Development
P.O. Box 2038
New Haven, CT 06521-2038
Use our toll-free line, 800.395.7646, to arrange a contribution via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express or make your gift or pledge online at www.yale.edu/give.
To transfer stock or mutual fund shares, have your bank or broker contact Yale's Office of Development, Contribution Processing, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 203.432.4107. Yale’s federal tax identification number is 06-0646973.
Complete a gift intention form. Commitments may be spread over as many as five years.
There are giving options that can meet both personal and philanthropic goals: a donor can make a gift, receive lifetime income, save taxes, and support Yale all at the same time. Donations of other assets such as real estate, art, and closely held stock may also be possible. Contact your tax advisor or Yale's Office of Planned Giving for the current status of the charitable IRA rollover.
If Yale is named in a will or trust, the university may recognize the commitment in our reunion gift at a discounted value based on the age of the youngest person upon whose death Yale will receive the bequest. This age is typically a minimum of 65 years.
