Giving to Yale

Parent Volunteers

Parents of Yale College students have traditionally played an important role in advancing the mission of the university as donors, advocates, and spokespersons. The Parent Gifts program in the Office of Development coordinates the efforts of two committees of dedicated parents who devote time and resources to maintaining Yale’s excellence.

Parents Annual Fund Committee

Parents Annual Fund volunteers assist the Office of Development in securing funding for areas central to Yale’s academic mission, like financial aid, faculty support, and undergraduate life. Volunteers reach out to other parents through letters, phone calls, and events to keep them well-informed about Yale, and encourage them to increase their involvement with the university and support the Parents Fund.

Parents Leadership Council

Members of the Yale Parents Leadership Council acquire in-depth knowledge of the university while investing in its success. Consisting of members from across the country and the globe, these committed parents provide leadership support for the university’s highest priorities, attend meetings on campus, host regional events, and provide career support to Yale students and graduates.
