Yale Legacy Partners—Seventh Annual Celebration 2012
On May 11, 2012, over 100 Yale Legacy Partners gathered on campus for the seventh annual luncheon and program. Hosted by Vice President for Development, Inge Reichenbach, the event featured a keynote address by University Librarian Susan Gibbons, who came to Yale in July, 2011, from the University of Rochester. Following luncheon in the Greenberg Conference Center, Ms. Gibbons outlined some of the exciting new initiatives already under way at the Library and her vision for the expansion and enhancement of services to students, faculty, and scholars worldwide. Her remarks were followed by a lively Q&A with the Partners in attendance. After lunch, attendees were invited next door to the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium for an introduction to the Department of Astronomy and its educational efforts, a planetarium show, and the opportunity for viewing through Yale’s telescopes.
Each year, the Yale Legacy Partners gathering gives us an opportunity to say thank you to our planned giving donors for their generosity and support. We are delighted that so many of you attended this year.
